General Overview of Occupational Therapy Services 

Children (birth and up):

We use a combination of sensorimotor and play-based approaches to help our pediatric clients achieve developmental milestones and optimize their potential. We provide family training to support the carryover of strategies and interventions we use during therapy sessions. We provide skilled, evidenced-based interventions for: 
  • fine & gross motor skills
  • visual-perception skills
  • play skills
  • social skills
  • self-care skills
  • confidence
  • executive functioning
  • self-regulation
  • social-emotional development 

Adolescents and Emerging Adults:

We focus on development of independent living skills and executive functioning to help this age group with their transition to adulthood. We provide skilled, evidenced-based interventions addressing: 
  • safety in the community
  • community mobility
  • self-care
  • increased confidence
  • self-advocacy
  • executive functioning skills such as self-regulation, time management, & organization,
  • social skills for workplace, peers, home, school, etc.


Adults: 

We support adults with improving their participation and performance with daily activities they want and need to do by using restorative, compensatory, and adaptive skilled interventions. We also provide treatments for addressing underlying barriers that are impeding a person's ability to perform valued activities. We provide skilled, evidenced-based interventions addressing: 
  • fall prevention
  • home safety
  • self-care
  • home management 
  • medical equipment recommendations
  • wheelchair training
  • community mobility training 
  • cognition 
  • chronic disease management
